Staging copy for accessibility testing. All downloadable files are samples: each audio lesson is the first 30 seconds only, and each transcript is the first page only.

Accessibility statement

Project VIEW exists to remove barriers, so this website has to practise what the toolkit preaches. We want everyone to be able to use it, whatever technology they use.

Our standard

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. The site is built as a well-structured document: one main heading, a heading for every section and every resource, named landmarks for every region, a skip link, visible keyboard focus, text that reflows at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling, and colours that meet the contrast requirements on every background they appear on. The audio lessons use the browser’s own player, with a full transcript on the page and downloadable transcripts in English, Sinhala and Tamil.

How it was tested

The site was built and is maintained by Tuan Rushdi, a blind accessibility specialist. On 16 September 2026 it was checked with automated tools (axe-core and HTML validation) and by keyboard. Testing with NVDA and JAWS on Windows, and with VoiceOver on iPhone and TalkBack on Android, is part of every release, and this statement is updated with the date and results of the latest test.

Known limitations

  • The Sinhala and Tamil transcripts are professional translations that are still awaiting a final native-speaker proofread. They will be replaced under the same links when that is complete.
  • The Myth-Busting Toolkit files are sample editions until the complete designed toolkit is published. The complete PDFs will be checked for tags, reading order and language before they replace the samples.
  • The Word and PDF downloads are tagged and carry a title and language, but they have not yet been tested with every screen reader and PDF reader combination.

Tell us about a barrier

If anything on this site or in its files is hard to use, or if you need a resource in another format (for example large print, plain text or braille-ready text), email hello@projectview.lk. We aim to reply within five working days.
